Our Services
In vitro production of bovine embryos
We offer in vitro production of bovine embryos from oocytes collected by Ovum Pick Up (OPU) from valuable cows. The oocytes are sent to us, and we perform In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and In Vitro Culture (IVC) of the embryos under strictly controlled laboratory conditions. Once the embryos have reached the blastocyst stage, we cryopreserve them or hand them over for fresh transfer. Cryopreserved embryos can be safely stored for long periods of time.
In vitro production of equine embryos
We offer in vitro production of equine embryos from oocytes collected by Ovum Pick Up (OPU) from valuable mares. The oocytes are sent to us, and we perform Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) and In Vitro Culture (IVC) of the embryos for nine days under strictly controlled laboratory conditions. Once the embryos have reached the blastocyst stage, we vitrify them or hand them over for fresh transfer. Vitrified embryos can be safely stored for long periods of time.
Vitrification of equine embryos
Equine embryos collected by uterine flushing are often too large to be cryopreserved with success. The embryos can be shipped to our laboratory, where we can reduce the size of the embryos by removing the fluid from the blastocoele cavity before vitrification.
The vitrified embryos are then sent back to the owner for transfer or can be safely stored for long periods of time.
Courses
Join our hands-on training courses in Assisted Reproductive Technologies, including techniques such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), and vitrification. For more information contact us.
Research
Our laboratory is open for research collaboration in projects involving mammalian in vitro embryo production and the preservation of genetic resources.
